About the Author
Roland Thompson is a writer, designer and craftsman with over 30 years experience working with woods, metals, plastics, and graphics. He currently resides on the Queen Charlotte Islands in British Columbia, Canada, and works as a self-employed designer & fabricator. This book was written while employed as the technician at the Industrial Design Studio of the University of Alberta. It is through working with students that a need for this book was recognized
